Terms of Service
Effective October 10, 2026.
These terms are between you and Kowal AI LLC, a limited liability company in Georgia, United States. They cover your use of tools.ltd.
The service
The site offers tools that convert or check files you upload. Sheetsnap turns PDF tables into an Excel file, in your browser. MyBankToExcel turns a bank statement PDF, including a scanned one, into CSV, OFX, or QBO. Scanned pages are read by OCR in your browser and can contain mistakes. Ebook Medic checks an EPUB with the same rules as EPUBCheck (using EPUBCheck-TS, an independent open-source version of it) and makes a mechanical repair, in your browser. It is not the official EPUBCheck program. TrueRedact removes text you choose from a PDF, in your browser. PageKit merges, splits, and shrinks PDFs, in your browser. Plain Invoice makes an invoice PDF from details you type, in your browser. Mileage Log makes a mileage log PDF or Excel file from trips you type, in your browser. PDF to Word turns a PDF, including scanned pages, into a Word file on our server. Scanned pages are read by OCR and can contain mistakes. JPG to PDF turns photos into a PDF and PDF pages into JPGs, in your browser. Rent Check shows HUD fair market rents and price changes (CPI) and makes a rent letter, in your browser. It shows numbers only. It does not say what rent increase or notice the law allows where you are; you are responsible for following your local rules. You are responsible for what your invoices say, including amounts and any tax. Mileage Log adds up miles you type at the IRS standard rate for each date. It is not tax advice, and you are responsible for which trips you claim. Processing is deterministic. Files are not rewritten by a generative model. Results depend on the file. Layouts vary. An empty Ebook Medic report is not a promise that a store will accept the book. A QBO file is not a promise that a particular QuickBooks version will import it. Spot-check output before you rely on it. TrueRedact finds text in a PDF’s text layer. It does not read text inside scanned images, and it cannot find a word you did not ask for. Review every redacted page before you share the file.
Plans and limits
Each tool’s free tier and paid plans are listed on that tool’s pricing page. Subscriptions renew until you cancel. One-time purchases do not.

- 10-statement pack: $9 for 10 statements. This is a one-time purchase. It does not renew, and we do not bill it again.
After you subscribe, the MyBankToExcel page has a button labeled “Manage or cancel”. It opens the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can cancel. On another device, go to tools.ltd/pro/manage and we email you an access link first. Downloads continue while Stripe reports the subscription as active or trialing, which includes the rest of a period you already paid for when you cancel at the end of that period. You can also email support@tools.ltd and we will cancel it the same way.
Ebook Medic

Automatic renewal
This section applies only to subscriptions: Sheetsnap Pro, MyBankToExcel Bookkeeper, MyBankToExcel Firm, TrueRedact Pro, PageKit Pro, Plain Invoice Pro, Mileage Log Pro, Rent Check Pro, JPG to PDF Pro, and PDF to Word Pro. One-time purchases (the Rent Check $9 letter, the MyBankToExcel 10-statement pack, Ebook Medic at $6 for one file, and Ebook Medic at $19 for five files) do not renew.
A subscription is billed by Stripe every month at the price on that tool’s pricing page, until you cancel. The price and the monthly period are shown on the pricing page before you pay. We charge that price each month until you cancel. Cancel before the next renewal if you do not want the next charge. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Sheetsnap Pro, TrueRedact Pro, PageKit Pro, Plain Invoice Pro, Mileage Log Pro, Rent Check Pro, JPG to PDF Pro, and PDF to Word Pro: Cancel anytime: press Manage or cancel on the tool page, or go to tools.ltd/pro/manage. Stripe receipt emails do not include a cancel link.
Cancelling stops renewal. It is not by itself a refund of the current period. Refunds are on the refunds page.
Refunds
The refund and cancellation rules for each tool are on the refunds page.
Your files
You must have the right to upload and process each file. We process a file only to produce the download or report you asked for.
- Sheetsnap: the PDF is read in your browser and is never uploaded.
- MyBankToExcel: the PDF is read in your browser and is never uploaded. Only its words are sent, to find the rows, and they are not stored. A sealed copy of the rows stays in your browser for 24 hours so a paid download can be built. The server discards it after building the file.
- Ebook Medic: the EPUB is checked and fixed in your browser and never leaves your device. A copy stays in this browser’s IndexedDB for up to 24 hours so a paid download can be built. We never receive the book. Stripe receives the file’s SHA-256, not the file.
- TrueRedact: the PDF is processed in your browser and is never uploaded. We never receive it.
- PageKit: PDFs are processed in your browser and are never uploaded. We never receive them.
- Plain Invoice: invoices are made in your browser and are never uploaded. We never receive them.
- Mileage Log: logs are made in your browser and are never uploaded. We never receive them.
- Rent Check: letters are made in your browser and are never uploaded. We never receive them.
License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the site for its intended purpose. We own the site and the software. You keep your rights in the files you upload. You give us permission to process those files only to produce the download or report you asked for. You may not resell the service, copy the site, or bypass a free allowance.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to break the law, to process a file you do not have rights to, to probe or disrupt the service, or to automate bulk use that bypasses a free tier.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that output will be complete, that a layout will match the source, or that a store or accounting app will accept a file. You are responsible for checking important output. We are not liable for decisions you make based on a processed file.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for a claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the tool at issue in the 12 months before the claim, or $10 if you paid nothing. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, to the extent the law allows. Some places do not allow these limits. In those places, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against Kowal AI LLC because you uploaded a file you did not have the right to process, or because you used the service unlawfully, you will cover the resulting loss, including reasonable legal costs.
Termination
You may stop using the site at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, or if we discontinue a tool. Cancelling a subscription is described above. If we discontinue a paid tool during a period you already paid for, email support@tools.ltd and we will refund the unused part of that charge.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Kowal AI LLC is based in Georgia.
Email support@tools.ltd about a dispute before you file a claim. If we cannot resolve it, either of us may bring it in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and each of us consents to those courts.
Changes
If we change these terms, we will update the effective date on this page. Continuing to use the site after that date means you accept the updated terms.
