Accessibility
Effective October 10, 2026.
Kowal AI LLC wants tools.ltd to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This page is a statement of that goal and of the limits we know about. It is not a certificate that every page has passed a formal audit.
What we build for
- Pages use English (
lang="en"), a skip link, headings, and landmarks. - Upload controls have visible labels. Drag and drop is an extra; the file input is the control to use with a keyboard.
- Focus is visible. The theme button has an accessible name.
- Status and error text is exposed with
aria-livewhere the tools report progress. - We respect
prefers-reduced-motion. - Text is not conveyed by color alone. Links in these legal pages are underlined.
Known limitations
- We have not commissioned an external accessibility audit of every page.
- Stripe Checkout and the Stripe Customer Portal are Stripe’s pages. We do not control their accessibility.
- The Excel, CSV, OFX, QBO, and EPUB files you download are your content. We do not claim those files meet WCAG.
- TrueRedact: the search box, presets, and buttons work with a keyboard. Redacted page previews have text alternatives that state the page number and the number of areas removed. The proof check result is announced with
aria-live. The redacted pages in the downloaded PDF are images, so a screen reader cannot read the remaining text on those pages; pages without redactions keep their text. - PageKit: the file picker, job choices, page box, Up and Down buttons, and download links work with a keyboard. Each step announces its result with
aria-live. Merged, split, and shrunk PDFs keep their text. - Mileage Log: every box has a visible label, the total is shown as text, and the result is announced with
aria-live. The PDF keeps its text so it can be read aloud. - Rent Check: every box has a visible label, the numbers are shown as text and announced with
aria-live, and the letter PDF keeps its text so it can be read aloud. - PDF to Word: the file picker and button work with a keyboard and have visible labels. The result is announced with
aria-live. The Word file uses real headings, so a screen reader can move through it. - JPG to PDF: the file pickers, Up, Down, and Remove buttons, and the page size box work with a keyboard and have visible labels. The result is announced with
aria-live. PDF pages made from photos are images, so a screen reader cannot read text in them. - Plain Invoice: every box has a visible label, lines can be added and removed with buttons, and the result is announced with
aria-live. The PDF keeps its text so it can be read aloud. - Diagrams on tool pages have a text description next to them.
- The tools need JavaScript to upload a file and show status.
- Guide pages are long articles. If a code sample is hard to read, email us and we will help.
