Questions

How do I turn a PDF into Word?

Pick your PDF in step 1. Press Make my Word file in step 2. Press Download in step 3.

Does it work on a scanned PDF?

Yes. If a page has no words we can copy, we read them from the picture. Check the result, since a blurry scan can have mistakes.

Does it work with Chinese, Japanese, or Korean text?

Not yet. A PDF with Chinese, Japanese, or Korean text can't be turned into Word right now, so you would see a "couldn't find any words" message. PDFs in English work best.

Will it look the same?

Close, but not always the same. We keep headings, paragraphs, simple tables, and pictures. Fancy layouts may move.

What size PDF can I use?

Up to 15 MB and 60 pages. On a phone, we read up to 20 scanned pages at a time.

Do you keep my PDF?

No. Your file never leaves your device. It's turned into Word right here in your browser, so we never see it.

Why does it take a few seconds the first time?

The first time, your browser gets the converter (about 15 MB). After that it's saved, so the next PDF starts right away. Scanned pages take a few seconds each.

What counts as one conversion?

One PDF turned into one Word file. If it fails, it doesn't count. Your free one comes back on the 1st of each month.
